The official website of the late Farrah Fawcett, a revered media icon who first captured the hearts of television audiences in the ’70’s as one of a trio of beauties in “Charlie’s Angels,” launched Thursday, June 25th, according to Alana Stewart, President of The Farrah Fawcett Foundation. The announcement comes on the sixth anniversary of Fawcett’s death from anal cancer.

Designed for her fans, new and old, the website features biographical material in addition to a host of photos, many never before seen, along with videos and remembrances by many of Fawcett’s closest friends.

According to Stewart, the new site is a precursor to a Fall, 2015 launch of Farrah-related merchandise which will be available exclusively on the new site. Proceeds will benefit the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, dedicated to providing funding for cutting edge cancer research, support prevention and awareness and to help those struggling with cancer today.

The Foundation hosts its first star-studded fundraiser, “A Tex-Mex Fiesta,” benefitting Stand Up 2 Cancer, September 9, 2015 at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California.

A Texas native, Fawcett was wooed to Hollywood while still a student at The University of Texas at Austin where she was voted one of the ten most beautiful girls on campus.

A successful stint at modeling and in commercials eventually led to her being cast in “Charlie’s Angels.” The iconic poster of Fawcett clad in a red bathing suit was an instant hit, selling more than 20 million copies worldwide.

Later, starring roles in television features including “The Burning Bed,” “Extremities,” “Small Sacrifices” and “Nazi Hunter: The Beate Klarsfeld Story” not only sealed her reputation as an accomplished dramatic actress, but netted her multiple “Emmy” and “Golden Globe” nominations.
