Dedicated to European cinema, the 13th Brussels Film Festival will take place from the 5th till the 12th of June 2015 at Flagey and Cinematek. This year, the festival will receive actress Juliette Binoche as guest of honour.

The festival will focus on the relations that exist between music and cinema, with cine-concerts, music documentaries, and meetings between directors and composers.

After Tindersticks, Chromatics, Chrysta Bell, Roscoe, Mélanie De Biasio, My Little Cheap Dictaphone, The Flying Horseman, and Follakzoid in previous editions, now the festival presents a cine-concert of Zone Libre (Belgian premiere), Saturday 6th of June at Flagey.

Zone Libre is the result of the meeting between two singular artistic universes: Teyssot-Gay, Noir Désir’s guitarist and of the Interzone project and Cyril Bilbeaud (drums). Together they explore all kinds of sounds, incandescent guitars, acoustic feedbacks between ruptures and creepage and shocking riffs.

The festival also will launch its fourth speed-dating between directors / producers and musicians, in collaboration with SABAM, Monday 8th of June at Flagey.

The objective is to facilitate encounters and encourage collaborations between music composers, directors, and producers of Belgian films.
