Leading Hollywood entertainment auction house, Profiles in History, will preview a variety of vintage movie lobby cards from the Morris Everett, Jr. collection at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con 2014.

The scheduled December auction will be a one-time opportunity, for collectors to possess them. Included in the forthcoming auction will be over 195,000 vintage movie lobby cards, posters and other ephemera from over 44,000 films from 1908 to present day.

According to Profiles in History, a pre-auction estimate of $6,000,000 – $8,000,000 is projected for the world’s largest single most comprehensive private collection of genuine movie memorabilia extant.

A sampling of the items displayed at the Profiles In History booth at San Diego Comic-Con are from a variety of film classics such as: Charlie Chaplin’s The Gold Rush (1925); Wizard of Oz (1939); Grand Hotel (1932); Snow White (1937); Gone With the Wind (1939).

Other classic movies represented in the collection include: The Unholy Three (1925), Faust (1926), Casablanca (1942) Frankenstein (1931) and Metropolis (1925) among others.

From his start over 50 years ago, Morris Everett, Jr. is recognized to be the only individual in history who set-out with great determination to meticulously acquire as many original motion picture film posters as possible, from nearly every film ever made, making sure to pick up and collect a few more along the way—building the world’s most comprehensive collection of the greatest and “truly precious” movie art to be in existence.

“The Morris Everett Jr. Collection is the most substantial and significant vintage movie collection in the world and will feature several-one-of-kind treasures never before offered to the collecting public,” noted Joseph Maddalena, president and CEO of Profiles in History.

Profiles in History will be at San Diego Comic-Con from July 24th to the 27th, located at booth 1605.
