Unknown Caller to Target Film Fans in China

Crimson Forest Entertainment, a global independent motion picture studio, announced Monday that it has entered into a co-production agreement with Dadi Digital Cinema Ltd. and China Film Assist Co. for “Unknown Caller,” a psychological thriller. The cast will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Dadi Digital Cinema Ltd., one of the largest operators of movie theaters in China, and China Film Assist, which provides production services in China, are investors in the project.

The film is scheduled to go into production in September, with a focus on appealing to audiences in China and other international markets.

“We are thrilled to partner with Dadi Digital Cinema and China Film Assist on a project that we believe will resonate strongly with audiences in China and all over the world,” said Jonathan Lim, chief executive officer of Crimson Forest Entertainment.

“Along with these two partners, Crimson Forest is uniquely positioned to help bring world-class cinema to a burgeoning audience of movie theater goers in China.”

“Unknown Caller” written by Dwayne Alexander Smith and Doc Pedrolie is a psychological thriller.

Producers are Daxing Zhang, Justin Begnaud and Jonathan Lim of Crimson Forest, Marina Grasic of Cargo Entertainment, and Jon Chiew of Huace Media.

Executive Producers are Grace Zhang and Geng Ling of Dadi Digital Cinema and China Film Assist and Alan Pao and Luke Daniels of Tunnel Post.

Crimson Forest Entertainment is a publicly traded, global independent motion picture studio that finances, produces and acquires theatrical quality feature films and television series with budgets up to $25 million for worldwide distribution.
