WorkingIndie has launched a beta web app designed as a professional networking platform for the independent film community.

The free matchmaking app hopes to connect independent filmmakers, cast and crew online to help support the growth of the independent film community.

The new site allows users to share feature-rich digital resumes, to reach out to others in the industry and to nurture more independent films.

“Just like dating sites help individuals find a great match, WorkingIndie is dedicated to the love of independent films and the people who create them,” said David Anthony, lead developer.

“As a longtime fan of independent films, I was thrilled to develop this protected community of creative, talented people who genuinely love independent filmmaking.”

WorkingIndie aims to link directors, actors, cinematographers, grips, set designers, composers, FX artists and more from across the globe.

WorkingIndie will add to the beta app, which includes the ability to upload a digital resume, search for jobs or individuals and provide feedback, based on input from the community.
