LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has officially launched its Oscars Season, a comprehensive two-month celebration running from January 22 through March 22. This seasonal initiative invites the public to immerse themselves in the history of the Academy Awards through a series of exclusive events, film screenings, and gallery updates designed to celebrate the upcoming 98th Oscars, which will air live on March 15, 2026.
Amy Homma, President and Director of the Academy Museum, emphasized that the museum serves as the “singular destination” to honor both the history of the awards and this year’s pool of nominees.
New Gallery Installations and Iconic Fashion
Visitors can expect significant updates across the museum’s galleries. Starting January 14, an Oscars-themed montage will be displayed in the Spielberg Gallery. On February 14, the Academy Awards History Gallery will refresh its collection with iconic red carpet fashion, featuring a 1970 gown worn by Elizabeth Taylor, a 1987 tuxedo worn by Paul Reubens, and the ensemble Sharon Stone wore to the 1996 ceremony.

The season’s centerpiece is the fifth annual Official Oscars Watch Party on Sunday, March 15. Attendees are encouraged to wear creative cocktail attire for the event.
Beyond the theater, Fanny’s Restaurant will offer a special cocktail menu from February 6 through March 31, with drinks inspired by this year’s Best Picture nominees.
