LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that British comedian, broadcaster, and producer Amelia Dimoldenberg will return for her third consecutive year as the Official Social Media Ambassador and Red Carpet Correspondent for the 98th Oscars season. Dimoldenberg, who previously served in the role for the 96th and 97th seasons, is scheduled to participate in multiple high-profile events throughout the awards circuit, culminating in her signature interviews with nominees and talent on the red carpet.
A “Vibrant” Presence on the Red Carpet
Academy leadership expressed strong support for Dimoldenberg’s return, citing her ability to connect with global audiences. Jennifer Davidson, the Academy’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, noted that Dimoldenberg’s “vibrant personality and engaging interviews” provide viewers with an exclusive, resonance-filled glimpse into the ceremony.
For Dimoldenberg, the return to the Dolby Theatre is a professional milestone rooted in a personal passion for cinema. “It’s an honor to experience the magic of the night up close, especially as a true film lover,” she stated, adding that she looks forward to asking Hollywood’s stars “very important questions”.
From “Chicken Shop Date” to Global Media Mogul
Dimoldenberg’s appointment comes as her digital influence reaches new heights. She is widely recognized as the creator and host of “Chicken Shop Date,” a popular YouTube series started in 2014 where she interviews global icons from the worlds of film, music, and sports. Her media company, Dimz Inc., manages her red carpet reporting and various branded projects, including the recent F1 partnership series “Passenger Princess”.
Beyond entertainment, Dimoldenberg has expanded into professional development through the Dimz Inc. Academy. This initiative provides a free, week-long creative workshop for young professionals looking to enter the digital media industry, with its first program held in the U.K. in 2025. Her digital reach is extensive, with a combined following of 16 million across platforms and a YouTube channel that has surpassed 981 million views.
