Jithu Madhavan’s ‘Suriya 47’ Takes Off; Nazriya and Naslen Join Stellar Cast
‘Suriya 47’ will also introduce a new talent behind the lens, as cinematographer Unni Palode makes his big debut as a full-fledged Director of Photography (DOP).

Mumbai, December 7, 2025 – The tentatively titled project ‘Suriya 47,’ helmed by ‘Aavesham’ fame director Jithu Madhavan, has officially commenced production. The film began its journey on Sunday (December 7) with a traditional pooja ceremony.
Confirming weeks of speculation, actors Nazriya and Naslen have officially joined the cast of the project. Pictures from the pooja function were originally shared by director Jithu Madhavan’s wife Shifina. The images featured the core team, including Suriya, Nazriya Fahadh, Naslen, director Jithu Madhavan, and music composer Sushin Shyam.
The movie brings together a team with proven success, marking a reunion between director Madhavan, who previously delivered the blockbuster ‘Aavesham’ and ‘Romancham’, and music director Sushin Shyam. Shyam composed the iconic and catchy songs for both of Madhavan’s previous hits.
‘Suriya 47’ will also introduce a new talent behind the lens, as cinematographer Unni Palode makes his big debut as a full-fledged Director of Photography (DOP). Palode has previously collaborated with acclaimed Malayalam cinematographers, including Gireesh Gangadharan, Sameer Thahir, and Shyju Khalid. A close-up shot of the clapboard revealed his involvement in the film.
While awaiting official confirmation, reports suggest that Suriya is set to portray a police officer in the movie. Both Nazriya and Naslen are joining the promising project following recent successes in their respective careers. Nazriya’s previous outing, the mystery drama ‘Sookshmadarshini,’ received good reviews, and Naslen’s last film, the superhero movie ‘Lokah,’ turned out to be a superhit.
