Ghostface has officially reclaimed the top of the cinematic charts. According to the latest weekend estimates from Comscore, Inc., the horror sequel Scream 7 debuted at number one worldwide for the weekend ending March 1, 2026.
The film secured a dominant $97.2 million global opening, bolstered by a powerful $64.1 million domestic performance and $33.1 million from 53 international territories. This marks a strong start for the latest installment of the long-running slasher franchise.
In the second-place spot, the high-octane sequel Pegasus 3 continues to show incredible staying power. The film earned $50.36 million globally this weekend, bringing its staggering worldwide cumulative total to $543.7 million. Interestingly, the vast majority of its success remains international, with the domestic market contributing just over $1.16 million to its total haul.
The rest of the top five highlights a diverse range of genres:
- Wuthering Heights landed in third place with $22.55 million for the weekend, pushing its total worldwide earnings to $192 million.
- The sports drama GOAT followed closely in fourth with $21.3 million, reaching a total global cume of $130.5 million.
- The animated feature Blades of the Guardians rounded out the top five, bringing in $21.1 million this weekend for a cumulative total of $166.9 million.
Other notable entries in the top ten include The King’s Warden ($15.1 million weekend) and Scare Out ($14.4 million weekend). The family favorite Boonie Bears: The Hidden Protector also maintained a presence in the rankings, earning $13.3 million to reach a total of $139.4 million.
Closing out the top ten were the concert film EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert, which earned $8.67 million, and the fantasy title Night King, which brought in $7.38 million. These rankings are based on data provided by Comscore’s theatrical box office collection and analytical services.
