LOS ANGELES, December 8, 2025 – The nominees for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes were announced today, setting the stage for “Hollywood’s Party of the Year,” which is scheduled to air live on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The ceremony will broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8:00-11:00 PM, live ET, and 5:00-8:00 PM, live PT.
The nominations announcement was held at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California, with Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall presenting the nominees across 28 award categories.
The Golden Globes is celebrated as the largest awards show globally to honor the best achievements in film, television, and, most recently, podcasting. Dick Clark Productions will plan, host, and produce the 83rd Annual Golden Globes, an event typically viewed in more than 185 countries and territories worldwide.
Multi-Emmy Award-winning producing duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment (WCE) are returning as executive producing showrunners. Tabulation for this year’s votes was again provided by KPMG, the U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm.
Key Motion Picture and Television Contenders
In the motion picture categories, Sentimental Value secured nominations across multiple major races, including Best Motion Picture – Drama, where it competes alongside Frankenstein, Hamnet, and Sinners. The films One Battle After Another and Bugonia were prominent in the Musical or Comedy categories.
Director nominations feature major names such as Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another), Ryan Coogler (Sinners), Guillermo del Toro (Frankenstein), and Chloé Zhao (Hamnet). Performance categories recognize talent across genres, with nods going to Jeremy Allen White (Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere) and Oscar Isaac (Frankenstein) for Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, and Emma Stone (Bugonia) and Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme) in the Musical or Comedy categories.
On the television side, nominees for Best Television Series – Drama include The Diplomat, Severance, Slow Horses, and The White Lotus. Contenders for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy are Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, and Only Murders in the Building.
