CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA — Apple has announced that Oceanhorn 3: Legend of the Shadow Sea, the next chapter in the acclaimed action-RPG franchise, will debut exclusively on Apple Arcade on March 5.

Developed by the Helsinki-based independent studio Cornfox & Brothers, the game arrives after five years of development. Set nearly a thousand years after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, the new title invites players to explore a “techno-fantasy” world of lost islands and mysterious urban ruins.

A New Era for the Franchise

According to Heikki Repo, creative director at Cornfox & Brothers, the game represents a “culmination of five years of passionate work” designed for players of all ages. Oceanhorn 3 introduces several franchise firsts, including a first-person mode and a completely overhauled combat system designed to be intuitive yet rewarding.

The game is a fully 3D experience featuring console-quality visuals and is optimized for a wide range of devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. Early previews of the game highlight massive boss fights and deep lore that continues the series’ epic narrative.

Expanding the Arcade Catalog

Joining Oceanhorn 3 on March 5 are three additional titles migrating from the App Store to the Arcade service:

  • Pocket Love!+: A wholesome life simulator where players decorate homes with partners and pets.
  • Flow Free+: The popular color-matching puzzle game.
  • Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story+: A management game featuring the beloved manga character.

Upcoming Content Updates

Apple also detailed several major updates for existing titles. On February 19, Disney SpellStruck will launch a Star Wars-themed expansion featuring characters like Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewbacca. Meanwhile, football fans can currently participate in an NFL Retro Bowl ’26 challenge inspired by Super Bowl LX, allowing players to compete for leaderboard scores as the Seattle Seahawks or New England Patriots.

Additionally, a limited-time Paddington event in Crayola Create and Play+ remains available to subscribers until February 18.
