Golden Globes Set Ceremony Details, Announcers, and New Podcast Category

In a commitment to reflecting the evolving entertainment landscape, the 83rd Annual Golden Globes will debut the Best Podcast category to honor extraordinary talent in the audio medium.

The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards announced key details for both its upcoming nominations announcement and its main ceremony, including new host and category information. The nominations for the awards will be unveiled by acclaimed actor, comedian, and producer Marlon Wayans and celebrated actress, philanthropist, and U.S. Air Force veteran Skye P. Marshall. Wayans, whose films have grossed over $1 billion globally, and Marshall, who stars in the CBS drama “Matlock,” embody the creative range and diverse talent the awards celebrate.

The nomination announcement will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025, during a multi-platform live event. All 28 categories will be unveiled starting at 8:15 a.m. ET / 5:15 a.m. PT on the CBS News streaming platform. Following this, 11 exclusive categories will be revealed live on “CBS Mornings” starting at 8:30 a.m. ET / 5:30 a.m. PT.

The main ceremony, recognized as “Hollywood’s Party of the Year,” will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, running live from 8–11 PM ET. The three-hour event will be hosted by acclaimed Golden Globe-, Grammy-, and Emmy-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser. Viewers can watch the show on the CBS Television Network or stream it live on Paramount+ in the U.S..

Most award categories will feature six nominees, though the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category will include eight nominees to recognize the year’s most successful films.

The U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm KPMG LLP will continue to demonstrate its commitment to integrity by serving as the official vote tabulator for the second consecutive year.
