Mohit Suri believes that ‘Barbaad’ will resonate deeply with listeners, evoking nostalgia for those who have experienced love. He described the song as being “about how love can consume lovers and yet leave them wanting for more”. The team hopes ‘Barbaad’ will receive as much love as the ‘Saiyaara’ title track, further building anticipation for the film’s release.

‘Saiyaara’ has already garnered significant interest, especially with its evocative title, which translates to “a wandering celestial body”. In poetry, ‘Saiyaara’ is often used to describe something or someone dazzling, ethereal, or otherworldly – likened to a wandering star that is “always shining, always guiding, but always out of reach”.

The film marks the Hindi film industry debut of Ahaan Panday as the hero, alongside Aneet Padda, who previously captivated audiences with her performance in ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’. ‘Saiyaara’ is produced by Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 18, 2025.

Both Yash Raj Films and Mohit Suri bring a rich legacy of creating timeless love stories to this project. YRF, with its 50-year history, is renowned for iconic romantic films primarily directed by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. Mohit Suri, celebrating his 20th year in cinema, has also helmed several beloved romantic films, including ‘Aashiqui 2,’ ‘Malang,’ and ‘Ek Villain’. The collaboration between YRF and Mohit Suri for ‘Saiyaara’ has been praised for presenting an intense love story featuring debutants with “infectious chemistry and brilliant acting skills”.
