LOS ANGELES — February 8, 2026 — According to the latest estimates from Comscore, the concert film Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience has debuted as the number one movie worldwide for the weekend ending February 8, 2026. The film’s strong opening performance marks a significant moment for music-based cinema, leading a competitive field of major studio sequels and holdovers.

K-Pop Sensation Leads the Pack

Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience brought in an estimated $19,039,237 globally during its opening weekend. The film saw particularly strong results in international markets, which accounted for $13,475,000 of its total, while the domestic market contributed $5,564,237. The production is currently playing across 63 international territories.

Animated and Franchise Favorites Hold Steady

Coming in at the number two spot is Disney’s Zootopia 2, which earned $16.8 million over the weekend. While it was edged out for the top spot this week, the animated sequel remains a massive global juggernaut with a staggering cumulative worldwide total of $1.8 billion.

Other notable performances in the top five include:

  • The Housemaid: Secured the third position with $16.5 million for the weekend, bringing its total worldwide cume to $354.6 million.
  • Send Help: The Disney release took fourth place with $16.3 million, reaching a total of $53.7 million since its release.
  • Avatar: Fire and Ash: Rounding out the top five, James Cameron’s latest entry in the Avatar franchise earned $15.7 million, pushing its total global box office to over $1.43 billion.

Fresh Faces in the Top Ten

The weekend also saw the debut of several other new titles. Marsupilami entered the charts at number seven, earning $8,091,000 from just three international territories. Meanwhile, the film Solo Mio cracked the top ten with $7.2 million in earnings, notably achieving this total from a single territory.

Other films maintaining their presence in the top rankings include Shelter at number six ($9 million), the indie hit Iron Lung at number eight ($7.7 million), and the drama Hamnet at number nine ($7.5 million).
