The next Disney•Pixar short, Bao, is about a dumpling-centered treat. It is all set to release before Incredibles 2, and will tell the story of a woman whose children no longer live with her. One day, she finds that one of her handmade dumplings has come to life!

Oh My Disney, the official site for Disney quizzes and news, has introduced Bao. It will be directed by storyboard artist Domee Shi, who, according to Disney•Pixar, has the distinction of being the first female director of a Pixar short.

Shi drew from her background as a child of Chinese immigrants (she even calls her mother a “dumpling master!”) to tell this story.

Bao will come to life in theatres before Incredibles 2 on June 15.
