NEW YORK — Discovery Channel has announced the premiere of a provocative new series, CONSPIRACIES & COVERUPS, scheduled to debut on Wednesday, April 1, at 10 PM ET/PT. The program features former CIA covert intelligence officer Andrew Bustamante as he investigates sensational conspiracy theories that have “blurred the line between fact and fiction”.

Leveraging his insider techniques and unique intelligence background, Bustamante intends to pressure-test prevailing narratives to reveal the hidden forces and motives used to manipulate public perception. The series aims to provide a unique perspective on modern-day mysteries by challenging established truths.

The premiere episode focuses on the infamous Cold War-era MK Ultra experiments. Bustamante will be joined by renowned mentalist Max Major to conduct a hypnosis experiment, exploring the potential for modern digital manipulation and the possibility of creating a mind-controlled assassin.
