The four-part series is scheduled to debut on the National Geographic channel on June 7, with all episodes available for streaming the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
Inspired by the long-standing “Best of the World” franchise, the series follows Porowski as he moves beyond traditional guidebooks to uncover the people and flavors that define global destinations. The production highlights specific experiences, including rare access to the interior of Big Ben’s Great Clock in London, the art of cheese making at Quatrehomme in Paris, the surreal architecture of Quetzacoatl’s Nest in Mexico City, and the finish line of the New York City Marathon.
“Travel has always been my way of understanding the world — and myself. Exploring these cities alongside the people who call them home reminded me that what makes a place special isn’t just what you see, but who you meet and the stories you’re invited into.” — Antoni Porowski, Host and Executive Producer
To complement the television premiere, National Geographic will launch a supporting YouTube series on June 9. This digital content, produced alongside local creators, will offer deeper dives into the “best of” each featured city. Additionally, the network’s digital platform will provide curated itineraries and a 2026 food list to allow viewers to replicate the experiences shown in the series.
Best of the World with Antoni Porowski is produced by Twofour, a division of ITV Studios., Porowski serves as both host and executive producer, alongside executive producers from Twofour and National Geographic. The series aligns with the franchise’s mission to provide expert-driven, human-centric journeys that encourage thoughtful engagement with global cultures.
