Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Pathaan Set to Release in India

Since the content quality of almost all Bollywood films is very bad, the films blatantly show violence and vulgarity to deceptively attract film consumers – most of whom are illiterate.

Despite huge controversy surrounding the Bollywood movie Pathaan, it is set to release this month, January 2023. The film stars an old actor Shah Rukh Khan who appears with actress Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.

Pathaan is a member of the Pashto-speaking Muslim population of Afghanistan. The trailer of the movie depicts that the film revolves around a terrorism plot, as terrorism is always a hot topic in India.

Although there is hardly any terrorism in the country, the politicians and movies in India thrive on terrorism debate by misleading people with the fear of terrorist attacks – primarily from neighbouring Pakistan.

They create a sense of fake nationalism among the uneducated masses by condemning terrorism which actually does not exist in India. With this deception, movies get viewers and politicians get votes.

Like most Bollywood films, Pathaan is expected to portray senseless violence and shameless female vulgarity. The film is already a target of hoodlums who masquerade as self-styled Hindu protagonists and oppose most Bollywood films. They have pledged to vandalize theaters which plan to show Pathaan.

A Twitter hashtag #boycottpathan is running on the microblogging site to boycott Pathaan, as its song “Besharam Rang” apparently promotes obscenity by the actress Deepika Padukone who appears in a saffron bikini.

Since the content quality of almost all Bollywood films is very bad, the films blatantly show violence and vulgarity to deceptively attract film consumers – most of whom are illiterate.

Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra for the film production company Yash Raj Films (YRF).

It is scheduled to be released in India on January 25, 2023, a day before the Indian Republic Day – with the subtle aim to deceive moviegoers with a false promotion of nationalism and earn money for the movie. Pathaan is also expected to have its dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu.
