The 4th Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), a platform that seeks to give expression to African cinema by recognizing and rewarding excellence in the industry, will hold its 4th edition between the 9th and 16th of November 2014 in Tinapa, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

As the Festival is inviting film submissions, it informs that the eligible films must have been produced after January 1, 2013 and preference will be given to films which are yet to be screened globally or in Africa.

Categories for entry include Feature, Short, Documentary and Animation, with monetary award prizes ranging from $3000 – $6000.

If you wish to have your film considered for the Festival, you can include a DVD copy of the film, plus a synopsis and / or press kit. You are also required to complete the entry submission form.

Deadline for receipt of entry submission forms and screeners:

  • Short films (40 minutes or less) – 13 June 2014
  • Feature length films (more than 40 minutes) – 30 June 2014
