Aliens Are Ready to Attack the Earth in Pixels

When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults.

President Will Cooper has to call on his childhood best friend, ‘80s video game champion Sam Brenner, now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders to defeat the aliens and save the planet.

Pixels, a 3D science fiction action comedy film, is produced by Columbia Pictures.

The cast includes Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, and Brian Cox.

With an estimated budget of $110 million, the film is directed by Chris Columbus, screenplay by Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling, story by Tim Herlihy, and it is based on the short film by Patrick Jean.

Produced by Adam Sandler, Chris Columbus, Mark Radcliffe, and Allen Covert, Pixels will be released on July 24.
