The 20th Century Fox film ‘Taken 3’ starring Liam Neeson earns $41 million in 36 international territories and $40.4 million in North America for a weekend total of $81.4 million.

Rentrak, which measures the performance of movies, announced Sunday the worldwide box office estimates for the weekend of Jan. 11, 2015, as compiled by the company’s theatrical measurement services.

“Liam Neeson in Fox’s ‘Taken 3’ is equally loved by audiences around the world as the film earns $41 million in 36 international territories and $40.4 million in North America for a weekend total of $81.4 million,” said Rentrak’s senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

“With a worldwide box office total to date of $92.7 million, this box office performance proves that Neeson in combination with the ‘Taken’ brand remains a powerful global draw,”

According to Rentrak, the top 12 worldwide weekend box office estimates, listed in descending order, per data collected as of Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, are below.

1. Taken 3 – 20th Century Fox – $81.4M

2. Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb – 20th Century Fox – $52.9M

3. Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies – Warner Bros. – $31.2M

4. Into The Woods – Disney – $17.4M

5. Exodus: Gods And Kings – 20th Century Fox – $16.1M

6. Miss Granny – Multiple – $15.0M

7. Big Hero 6 – Disney – $14.8M

8. Unbroken – Universal – $14.1M

9. Imitation Game, The – Multiple – $13.1M
