This strong start signals a continued appetite for the franchise on a global scale.
International Hits and Animated Powerhouses
Holding the second-place position is the independent sensation Kung Fu Soccer, which brought in $68.4 million exclusively from international markets.
Close behind is Pixar’s Toy Story 5, which added $63.8 million to its haul this weekend. The sequel has proven to be a juggernaut for Disney, reaching a worldwide cume of $879,072,720.
