Samsung Electronics has officially announced its showcase for Gamescom 2026, one of the world’s largest gaming events, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to August 30. Operating across a sprawling 1,090-square-meter booth under the theme “#PlaySamsung,” the tech giant will demonstrate its highly integrated gaming ecosystem spanning PC, console, and mobile platforms.

According to Stephanie Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of the Global Brand Center at Samsung Electronics, modern gaming goes far beyond the games themselves to encompass high-quality, personalized experiences. The integrated ecosystem presented at Gamescom 2026 is designed to provide users with the technology to take their gaming to the next level.

Four Tailored Experience Zones

To highlight the synergy of its diverse product lines, Samsung has divided its exhibition space into four dedicated zones:

  • The Odyssey Zone: Centered around high-performance display technology, this zone showcases the Odyssey G8 (model: G80HS), which is the world’s first 6K gaming monitor. It also features the Odyssey OLED G8 (model: G80SH), offering a 4K resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate, alongside the glass-free Odyssey 3D (model: G90XF) monitor. Visitors can test these displays with major titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Crimson Desert, and Cyberpunk 2077 (utilizing HDR10+ GAMING). The Odyssey Zone also integrates the high-performance 9100 Pro SSD and the tournament-ready JBL Quantum 950 headset.
  • The Galaxy Zone: Focused on high-tier mobile gaming, this area features the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Both devices are powered by the customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. This zone highlights Neural Frame Fusion, an AI-powered technology that generates pixels and frames in real time to improve power efficiency and sustain peak graphics performance on Galaxy devices. Visitors can experience these capabilities firsthand on mobile titles like Genshin Impact, Asphalt Legends, and Honor of Kings.
  • The Gaming Hub Zone: Highlighting cloud-based gameplay, this zone demonstrates how users can access cloud gaming directly through compatible Samsung televisions and monitors without a separate console. Featured devices include the Samsung OLED TV (S95H model), the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and the JBL Quantum 650 headset.
  • The T1 Zone: Created in partnership with the global esports team T1, this zone allows visitors to interact with the equipment used by world-renowned League of Legends champion Sang-hyeok Lee, widely known as “Faker”.

Bringing K-Culture and Interactive Events to Cologne

Samsung is also bringing the distinct atmosphere of a Korean PC café to Gamescom 2026, creating a unique cultural experience for global attendees. Visitors can register on a dedicated web application and complete various booth missions to earn points, which can be redeemed on-site for popular Korean snacks.

Additionally, the booth will utilize advanced Spatial Signage. This event leverages glasses-free 3D displays to create the immersive impression of meeting T1 team members in real time when visitors stand in front of the screen.

The central stage of the booth will host the World Finals of the #PlayGalaxy Cup in PUBG Mobile on August 27 and August 28. Ten elite global teams will compete live, accompanied by influencer showmatches, an interactive racing program, SSD developer and influencer talks, and prize raffles.

Looking to the Future of Gaming

During the event on August 27, Samsung will officially unveil its 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup featuring industry-first technologies. The company will also launch its latest portable SSD products, highlighting its ongoing commitment to connected and high-speed storage solutions.

For global consumers unable to attend in person, Samsung is launching specialized promotional pages on its official websites across 22 key regional markets, including Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, South Korea, the Middle East, and Africa.
