Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stayed ahead of others at the box office for the weekend of Aug. 10 with a total collection of over $100 million.

Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ: RENT), which measures the performance of movies and TV, announced Sunday the worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of Aug. 10, 2014.

The data is compiled by the company’s Box Office Essentials and International Box Office Essentials theatrical measurement services.

“Cowabunga translates in all languages as Paramount’s ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ tops the worldwide chart with $93.7 million in just 20 territories including North America and $28.7 million from the 19 international markets,” said Rentrak’s senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

“Disney / Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ continues to impress as it crosses the $300 million mark globally while leading the international box office with $40.1 million from 50 territories. Notably Fox’s ‘Dawn of the Planet of The Apes‘ crosses the half a billion mark worldwide.”

According to Rentrak, the top-12 domestic (U.S.) weekend box office estimates listed in descending order, per data collected as of Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, are below.
