HGTV has announced the premiere of its latest spinoff series, Home Town: Inn This Together, which is scheduled to debut on Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show will feature fan-favorites Ben and Erin Napier as they assist in what is described as Laurel, Mississippi’s most ambitious renovation project to date.

The series centers on the massive restoration of the 1930 Kress building located in downtown Laurel. Vacant for 40 years, the 25,000-square-foot structure is being reimagined as a multi-use space that will house a hotel, food venue, and storefront. Ben and Erin will be lending their expertise to their family and best friends, Jim and Mallorie Rasberry and Josh Nowell, who are the primary drivers behind the ambitious project.

The path to transforming the dilapidated building into a functional landmark was met with numerous high-stakes obstacles. The team navigated crumbling walls, flooded floors, and “seven-figure budget dilemmas”. Furthermore, the project faced a major setback when a devastating fire severely damaged the hotel portion of the building after renovations had already been completed.

Produced by RTR Media Inc., the series aims to showcase the challenges and triumphs of historical preservation on a grand scale. For viewers who prefer digital platforms, each new episode will be available to stream on HBO Max the day after its cable premiere, beginning May 11. HGTV also encourages fans to follow the project’s progress through social media using the hashtag #HomeTownInnThisTogether.
