Netflix has announced that production is officially underway for the sixth and final season of the popular Spanish comedy series, Alpha Males. The news follows the recent premiere of the show’s fifth season.
Created by siblings Alberto and Laura Caballero, the series has become a staple of Spanish comedy production through their company, Contubernio Films. The upcoming final chapter will consist of ten episodes, with Laura Caballero serving as director.
The series continues the journey of four men—Pedro, Raúl, Santi, and Luis—who have spent five seasons attempting to navigate modern masculinity, often serving as a “step-by-step guide” for what not to do. In this concluding season, the group will attempt to reinvent themselves as exemplary fathers and “impeccable allies,” though the process of personal deconstruction remains a challenge they cannot quite master.
The final season will feature a large returning cast, including Fernando Gil, María Hervás, Raúl Tejón, Kira Miró, Gorka Otxoa, Paula Gallego, Fele Martínez, and Raquel Guerrero. This ensemble will be joined by several new additions for the series finale, including Cayetana Cabezas, María Adánez, Patricia Conde, María Romanillos, Joaquín Reyes, and Manuela Velasco.
Contubernio Films, founded in 2011, continues its streak of successful Spanish comedies, which includes long-running hits like La que se avecina and Aquí no hay quien viva.
