In a move to further expand the reach of its TV series 1001 Nights, Vancouver-based Big Bad Boo Studios announced Wednesday a deal with Kingston-based TV Jamaica, the country’s leading TV station.
The broadcaster will be serving up the TV series to its viewers on a weekly run, starting Wednesdays at 3 pm.
“We are so excited to expand into new territories. 1001 Nights will bring huge amounts of laughs to Jamaican audiences and help us continue to develop the brand through new channels,” said Shabnam Rezaei, president of Big Bad Boo Studios.

1001 Nights, Big Bad Boo’s original comedy series, which brings the tales of the famous Arabian Nights to kids, is currently airing in 80 countries, in 15 languages.
Big Bad Boo has further expanded the 1001 Nights brand by publishing comic books, and web games. Five comic books in print are available on Oznoz.com, and digitally available on comixology.com.
The company is currently producing 5 additional comic books and is in discussions on several licensing and merchandising deals in the Middle East and Asia.

Broadcasters of the show include Discovery Kids, Teletoon, CBC, Disney, Al Jazeera Children’s and others. TV Jamaica has just joined the worldwide family of broadcasters of 1001 Nights and will air the show in English.
Big Bad Boo Studios produces edutainment-based family programming. The company has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
