European Films at the Busan Film Festival in South Korea

The Korean public welcomed European film artists invited by European Film Promotion (EFP) and the Busan International Film Festival (2 – 11 October) in the cinemas and on the festival stage at Haeundae Beach.

For several days, according to EFP, Europeans and Koreans share their interest in films and immerse in different cultural and artistic experiences.

Given the increasing interest of the South Korean festival audience and film industry in European cinema, the festival and EFP have coordinated various presentations, film screenings and press interviews at the Busan International Film Festival.

Moreover, EFP together with UniFrance Film hosts the European Pavillion at the Asian Film Market (AFM), claimed to be the biggest booth set up in Busan to support business relations between Europe and Asia.

EFP’s activities at Busan are backed by the Media Programme of the European Union and the participating EFP member organisations.
